June 25th
Last week we were spoilt for entertainment with two fantastic bands.
Friday night we had THE CHAMPIONS Queen Tribute. This band not only sounded great but Freddie Mercury (aka Bruce) was alive and kicking in Ackworth. Freddie sang his socks off and was every bit the showman. This all ticket event was a storming success and paves the way for many more.
BRING ON THE PO BOYS!!
Saturday night we had THE EMERALD THIEVES. They came in and filled the room with their Irish flavour. It was a truely fantastic performance, a night enjoyed by all.
We would like to thank both the bands and hope they return asap.
July 12th
Last nights was kicked off by THE MEASLES who are a great local band in their own right. They did a great job of warm up and support with some classic rock anthems. We are looking forward to seeing them again for a full evening with this Contagious group.
THE PO BOYS were absolutely out of this world, from the moment they came out in darkness with lazers shooting around the room to the second encore. There music was a fantastic blend of classic rock/punk and modern hits. The night was enjoyed by all, including all the staff and we are in talks to organise another PO BOYS night.
All this could only be matched by THE KING. Oh yes ELVIS is coming to Jesters next month the tickets will be on sale soon.
